Star-Crossed Lovers: A Deep Dive into Romeo and Juliet

It's one of Shakespeare's best-loved works, but how well do we really know the star-cross'd lovers? How did their 'death-mark'd love' story unfold? What about the history of the play? And – were they really in love? 

Come explore these questions and more with seasoned Shakespearean scholars, actors and educators from Fairfield County's own Shakespeare on the Sound, Nick Urda and John Love, who will guide you through the play in an interactive presentation, hoping to show you why Juliet & Romeo might be a more fitting title. 

This program comes just in time for the company's performance of the play in their 28^th annual summer production, at Rowayton's Pinkney Park, June 12-30^th 2024.
