Gluten Free New England

This New England food blog is perfect for those with dietary restrictions. Founder Abby Helman Kelly moved to Connecticut in 1999 and was battling severe eczema. Trying to avoid steroids, she decided to cut gluten out of her diet. Over two weeks, her skin cleared and she was feeling better. But at the same time, she was devastated. A self-described “avid baker and purveyor of fine desserts,” Abby found it hard to imagine a life with gluten restrictions. She stepped up to the challenge: The Gluten Free Connecticut food blog was created in 2016 with the goal of providing readers a way to connect with the all of the gluten-free restaurants, bakeries, and other establishments in their community. Gluten Free Connecticut has since evolved into Gluten Free New England, covering businesses in the whole region.
