We will also show a double-feature of Coco and The Book of Life that evening.

The Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) is a yearly Mexican tradition, usually celebrated between October 31st and November 3rd, to remember loved ones who have passed away. On this day, those who are living bring an “offering” of a favorite food or drink of the deceased loved one, because it is believed that the loved ones will return during that time to visit their living loved ones, and can then enjoy the offerings left for them on an altar. These offerings, as well as other cultural symbols, such as flowers, candles, incense, and traditional breads are usually placed on an altar, built by the family or loved one at their home, specifically for this celebration.
