CT Trails Day: Hike Rosgen Woods To The Great Red Oak

Meet at the end of Preston Road in the Pullout/Parking Area
Come hike the beautiful trails at Winchester Land Trust’s newest large parcel, Rosgen Woods. The Red Oak and Laurel Trails take hikers through a mixed hardwood forest with large laurel shrubs and beautiful stone walls. One trail section utilizes the remains of an old farm road, while another boasts the Great Red Oak Tree.

Location: Meet at the end of Preston Rd in the pullout/parking area (off Grantville Rd).
Drive to Winchester Center and head toward the Lake Winchester Boat Launch. Turn right onto Grantville Rd. After almost 1 mile, turn right onto Preston Rd (a dirt road). After about 1/2 mile, park at the pullout after the last house.
