Celebrate West Hartford 5K

The Celebrate! West Hartford FUNd RUNS are the most family-friendly fitness fun in the region! Held in conjunction with the Town's two-day outdoor festival, the Celebrate! West Hartford 5K and Kids’ K have something for ages 3-83+. It's a great opportunity for the whole family to participate in while supporting West Hartford families in need. A portion of proceeds is donated to the Leisure Services Scholarship Fund which helps children from low-income families to afford swimming lessons, camps during school vacations and other life-enhancing programs.
5K Course
We are excited to introduce the newly designed Celebrate! West Hartford 5K course. Located in one of Connecticut’s most picturesque towns, the race starts in the center of West Hartford on South Main Street near the Noah Webster statue. Runners proceed north passing by some of the Town’s historical landmarks, buildings, and homes. The course then turns right onto Craigmoor Road in the heart of one of West Hartford’s quintessential neighborhoods. Runners take another right onto the newly completed Trout Brook Trail, where participants will be cheered on by the brook ducks and may even catch a glimpse of the resident eagle. Runners depart the scenic trail at the intersection of Memorial Road, turning right again for a short uphill past the Delamar Hotel before the flat finish between Raymond and Isham Roads.
Kids K Course
The Kids’ K is a non-timed 1K (.62 mile) dash. The course is 1 ¾ loops around Blue Back Square. Registered participants 10 and under will receive a medal. Map of course will be provided at a later date.
