Strings Music Festival

10am: Music on the Green: Randy Kelley and Jon Gibbs

Jon and Randy met at a Jam night in 1994, and they played together in Greg Scott's Smokehouse band in 1998 and eventually the Worried Men in 2001 at the Old Town Pub. The Worried Men had a good run of Friday nights at the Mahogany Ridge from 2003 until 2009 and then took a break to spend time with families. Jon and Randy realized they had a similar taste for offbeat songs, old swing tunes, and just about anything different from the average fare heard in bars.

7pm: Twilight Yoga

Bring your yoga mat and bug spray to sunset classes in our beautiful Festival Park. Teachers from Harmony Yoga lead all-levels classes to the sounds of Strings’ classical evening concert. Harmony classes focus on breath for grounding, movement for alignment of energy and extra long savasana for embodiment of our practice. Following the event, join your fellow yogis in a non-alcoholic drink reception as the sun sets on Mt. Werner. Come for the yoga, stay for community connection. Dress in layers for varying weather.

All ages welcome. $10 suggested donation benefits Strings.

7pm: Boston Brass with Special Guests

Starts at $40

Join Music Director Michael Sachs and the world-renowned Boston Brass for a high-energy night of incredible virtuosity. With the addition of drums and piano, this combo will knock off all the socks!
