This year's festival features live scoring of classic silent films by jazz virtuoso Tenia Nelson and showcases 10 new contemporary films from local and award-winning international directors. The festival delves into the timeless connection between movement and music, a core focus of LuneAseas' work since the festival's inception in 2020.
Enjoy live performances by Riley Ann (The Catcalls), Gavin Worland, Harley Harkin, Rayonism, and more. The event will also feature experimental scores from award-winning composers George Sarah, Edmund Song, and Quarkestra. The evening will be ushered along by the two failed silent film stars, LuneA and Tic, set to surrealistic scenes from cinema's forgotten past.
A pre-festival mixer, presented by Women in Film and Media Colorado (WIFMCO) a, invites musicians, choreographers, actors, and filmmakers to connect and converse at 5:30 PM at Avogadro's Number.
