Imogene Pass Run
The 51st Annual Imogene Pass Run is scheduled for Saturday September 7, 2024.
IMPORTANT 2024 RACE INFORMATION
THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DIFFICULT RACE FOR WELL PREPARED ATHLETES. STRICT CUTOFF TIMES WILL BE ENFORCED.
1. Race attire: Hat, gloves and jacket recommended. Polypropylene base layers with other types of wicking/waterproof materials are STRONGLY Recommended. Rain and foul weather are common during the race even if there is sunshine at the start.
2. Cut-off times must be met by all participants.
Upper Camp Bird. @ 7.6 miles 10:00 AM, or 2.5 hrs. after race start, adjusted if necessary
Summit, Imogene Pass @ 10 Miles 12:00 PM, or 4.5 hrs. after race start
Finish Line: 17.1 miles 2:30 PM – LAST BUS back to OURAY 2:45 PM
We will be disqualifying people who start the race early and do not record a start with their chip. Any person who does not make the UCB cutoff must voluntarily turn back to Ouray. This is for the security of our volunteers and to get them off the mountain before weather deteriorates.
3. Bus schedule: Bus transportation is available to IPR participants and volunteers. Please note the bus schedule below. 1 time of AM buses, 2 times of PM buses.
4. No on-site registrations accepted
All participants MUST be at least 15 years of age on Race Day!
Start:
Start time for the race is 7:30 AM Saturday September 7. Start Line location is the corner of 4th Ave and Main; in Ouray, Colorado.
Cost:
Entry fee for this years race is $125. Entry is NON TRANSFERABLE and can only be used by the person who is originally confirmed by their registration submission for the year that they register.
Awards:
Special awards will be given to overall M/F winners in three categories: Open, Masters (40-59) and seniors (60+). Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age/sex category in 5-year increments up to 75 years old, a commemorative pin for all finishers and t-shirts to all entrants. Awards will be presented on site @ 1:30PM, Elks Park.
Timing and Results:
Timing will include split times at Upper Camp Bird and Summit. Results will be posted on this website after the race. Finish line timing will only be provided in Telluride.
Open to ages 15 – 90.
