St. Gregory Church Armenian Food Festival and Bazaar

The Largest Armenian festival in northern california!

About the Bazaar

The Annual Bazaar and Food Festival, the largest Armenian festival in the Bay Area, has been serving food, friends and the community for the past 58 years. Time and again, the most satisfying part of the Festival is being able to share our food and our culture with YOU, our friends! As we’ve strived to do for nearly six decades in true Armenian fashion, we hope once again that our hospitality is wholeheartedly felt as you soak up the culture and savor the fare.

The first Bazaar was held in 1957 on the church grounds, and became the single most profitable undertaking for the church.  Food preparations for the Bazaars took place in the basement of the “church” under extremely difficult conditions where the Ladies’ Auxiliary spent days preparing the food and delicacies.

As the popularity of the Bazaar gained momentum, it was moved to the Furniture Mart, and later to the Kabuki Theater where it continued until the Armenian Community Center was built.
