Spring Musical Performance - Something Rotten

Welcome to Elizabethan England, where the spread of the plague is overtaken by the spread of the printing press, farthingales and doublets are the latest fashion trend, and the biggest celebrity in England is a playwright named William Shakespeare. In the midst of all this excitement, two struggling playwrights, brothers Nick and Nigel Bottom are trying to keep their acting company afloat, and outshine the theatrical genius of William Shakespeare. In a desperate attempt to ont-Bard the Bard, Nick consults a soothsayer, who informs him that the future of theatre involves arting, singing, and dancing sometimes all at once! As the Bottom hrothers strive to write the world's very first "musiral", they navigate theatrical mishaps and comedie misunderstandings, find themselves caught in a bitter battle with the rockstar Bard and...... the play's the thing. Something Rotten! is the Tony-nominated hysterical, joyous celebration of everything you love about twentieth-century Broadway musicals with a hilarious mash-up of sixteenth-century Shakespearean plays.
