Hi, there. We're PWR Wines

PWR exists to bring great wines to all at reasonable prices. We seek out great vineyards throughout California to find excellent vineyards where the grapes embody what makes their sites special. We work closely with the growers, who invariably become our friends. Our winemaking is minimalist but attentive so that the magic we find in the vineyard is evident in every glass.

Who We Are?

Matt:

Matt completed the UC-Davis Viticulture & Enology M.S. program in 2003. He has been the winemaker at Seavey Vineyard and Quixote Winery, the Custom Crush Winemaker at Failla Wines, and Consulting Winemaker for Burgess Cellars. He is currently winemaker for Benessere Vineyards.

Marcy (d. 2019):

Marcy’s background was in public health (epidemiology), but her quick, scientific mind led to positions at The Napa Wine Company, Franciscan and Chalk Hill. She was the assistant winemaker for Ballentine Vineyards until her premature death in 2019. Matt is continuing PWR in tribute to Marcy.
