Pershing Square Park

Pershing square is located in the heart of downtown los angeles at 532 s. Olive st. The square is a public places that allows community members and visitors to sit, talk, meet up and relax in the middle of the town. The square is made up of hard-scape's and grass areas that offer an area for concerts, gatherings, political rallies and public celebrations. Pershing square is decorated with a fountains, monuments, statues, a large seating platform, two children’s playgrounds, a chess area, a pet area and an open elevated myan–style amphitheater. The venue is surrounded by hotels, restaurants, cafes, bakeries, and local businesses.
Pershing square is operated by the department of recreation and parks. Pershing square hosts a variety of community events, an eight week free summer concert series, an outdoor ice skating rink november through january and a large outdoor farmers market is held weekly on wednesdays. Pershing square also serves as a major location for television shows, films and private parties.
