About Us:
Outside Lands Works is a charitable program that invests in the cultural vitality of the Bay Area.
We support local non-profit music and arts education programs serving underprivileged communities while simultaneously focusing resources and attention to various issues impacting our community.
Over the past 5 years, Outside Lands Works has donated more than $1 million to local organizations.
Outside Lands Works is a donor-advised fund housed at the Tides Foundation.
Mission
The Mission (formerly known as Eco Lands) is Outside Lands’ cause-oriented space within the festival, dedicated to helping patrons discover, learn more about and get involved with local, difference-making organizations.
Each year, The Mission is transformed to raise awareness about a specific cause and this year’s focus is on violence prevention. The cause is selected by the festival community, ensuring that it resonates with the values and concerns of the attendees.
While The Mission has a new focal point each year, it will continue to house all of the cause-based organizations involved with Outside Lands Works, and we will continue to invest in music and arts education programs and foster the long-lasting relationships with non-profits we have worked with year after year.
