Opening Gala with Lang Lang
Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at 07:00pm
Asian Art Museum
200 Larkin Street
Any concert with Lang Lang is an event. The superstar pianist takes the stage with Esa-Pekka Salonen and the San Francisco Symphony in a celebratory program featuring Saint-Saëns’s Piano Concerto No. 2 and Carnival of the Animals (with Lang Lang playing alongside his wife, pianist Gina Alice), together with selections from Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet.
The celebration begins at 5:30pm with a preconcert lobby reception featuring a sparkling wine toast and light bites. Groove to the sounds of DJ Lady Fingaz and capture a moment with one of our roaming photo booths as we kick off the 2024-25 season.
Please note: Concert attendees under the age of 21 will not be admitted to the event until 6:30pm when alcohol service concludes and the concert hall doors open.
Dress code is cocktail attire, glamour encouraged.
