The Ojai Film Festival celebrates the art of cinema and promotes its appreciation through year-round programming and an annual festival of film-related events. Our diverse offering of film screenings, workshops, seminars, tributes and social gatherings brings artists and audiences together for education, entertainment, conversation and inspiration.

6:30 - 10:00 pm: Festival Public Opener: Beetlejuice (1988) - Libbey Bowl. Free!
Each year, the festival kicks off with a free, outdoor, family-friendly film screening. This year we also celebrate Halloween and the releaseof the sequel of Beetlejuice! Come enjoy this classic PG film by Tim Burton, featuring Alec Baldwin, Geena Davis and Michael Keaton, in the cool Ojai twilight at Libbey Bowl. Open to all. No reservation required. Bring a blanket and movie snacks. Costumes encouraged! Free hot beverages will be served.
