Oceánica Ballet presents "Flying Colors"

Hiller Aviation Museum
601 Skyway Road
$14-21
SAN CARLOS, CA–Oceánica Ballet soars in a showcase of dances with themes of flight and retro Americana. Flying Colors features works by Oceánica Ballet Artistic Co-Directors Edgar Lepe and Robert Lowman. In a new work set to Gershwin’s “3 Preludes,” Lowman takes inspiration from the physics of flight. Lowman’s “Lark Ascending” juxtaposes moments of isolation and community in a meditation on the beauty of nature and the journey of “leaving the nest.” Edgar Lepe’s “Swingin’” takes a step back in time with vivacious dances set to 1940’s Big Band music. See Flying Colors with purchase of museum admission at Hiller Aviation Museum. To purchase museum admission, visit hiller.org/tickets
Flying Colors will be performed in-person in Hiller Aviation Museum’s atrium at 12:30pm and 2:30pm Saturday-Sunday, June 8-9th.
