Independence Day 5k, 10k, 15k and Half Marathon
It's time for the Independence Day 5k, 10k, 15k, or Half Marathon on Thursday, July 4th 2024! This is a fun run that is clock timed (not chip timed).
This is an open course. Please be courteous to other pedestrians, runners, and cyclists on the beach path.
Course map: The course is super easy to follow. It will consist of counter clockwise loops around the beach path that will be marked.
5k (1 loop), 10k (2 loops), 15k (3 loops) with an aid station at every loop:
Half marathon is 3 x 4.36 mile loops with aid station at every loop:
Participants are not allowed to run with dogs. Running/walking with a stroller is allowed. 3:15 time limit for the half marathon. If more time is needed, please email us at abetterworldrunning@yahoo.com for early start.
This is a small informal event. Everyone will get a finishers medal as well as a goodie bag. To keep costs low we do not offer any special awards or t-shirts. This is not your normal large festival like race. We are a low key race that emphasizes a more personal satisfaction to racing. Thank you and look forward to seeing you out there!
