Join Instructor Ginna Brooks for a special mid-week class in the Glass Studio creating your own aquarium glass art! In this mosaic-style fused glass class, you’ll use a variety of transparent and translucent glass, frit, stringers, noodles and embellishments to create your own oceanic treasure. Ginna will show you the technique for glass underpainting to help you follow a pattern you designed. Whether you choose to create a scene with fish, octopus, turtles, seahorses, jelly fish, or other sea creatures like mermaids, Ginna will help you compose your vision as you dive into creating amazing glass art. Create one 6” x 8” contour fused 2+ layered piece. All skill levels are welcome.
Note: There is a $10 (cash only) materials fee due at the workshop. All glass art will be kiln-fired after class and ready for pick up at FSA in approximately one week or contact our office for shipping options. No outside glass is allowed at FSA. Additional supply fees may be incurred for work that is beyond the scope of the class project. Closed-toed shoes and long pants are recommended as a safety consideration.
