Cellist Alexander Hersh is joined by pianist Susan Grace for a recital of works for cello and piano.

All Midday Mini-Concerts last no longer than one hour without an intermission.
While these are free events, reservations are required. If you so choose, there is an option to make a suggested $10 donation per ticket.
Alexander Hersh:
Having given his Carnegie Hall debut recital in 2022, cellist Alexander Hersh has quickly established himself as one of the most exciting and creative talents of his generation. He frequently appears as soloist with major orchestras, including the Houston Symphony and the Boston POPS, and has received top prizes at competitions worldwide. A passionate chamber musician, Hersh has performed on tour with Musicians from Marlboro and at festivals including: Marlboro, Chamber Music Northwest, Caramoor, Ravinia, Music@Menlo, I-M-S Prussia Cove, Manchester, Perlman Music Program, Amsterdam Cello Biennale, Kneisel Hall, Lucerne, and NEXUS Chamber Music, for which he serves as co-Artistic Director. He performs on a G.B. Rogeri cello on generous loan from the Guarneri Hall Affiliate Artists program. In his spare time, he composes original music and makes short films that marry classical music with narratives. These can be viewed on his youtube channel: @Alexander Hersh.
Susan Grace:
Susan is Associate Chair, Artist-in-Residence and Lecturer in Music at Colorado College and Music Director of the Colorado College Summer Music Festival. She has performed as a recitalist, chamber musician, and concerto soloist in the United States, Europe, the former Soviet Union, South Korea, India and China. She is a member of Quattro Mani, an internationally acclaimed two-piano ensemble and has has recorded for Bridge Records, the Belgium National Radio, WFMT in Chicago, the Society of Composers, Wilson Audio, Klavier International and Klavier Music Productions. She was nominated for a Grammy in 2005 in the Best Small Ensemble Performance category.
