Exhibition: Painting in Real Time

PAINTING IN REAL TIME

What is real time? What is real? Out of the miasma of today’s reality, these ten dynamic artists explore such questions in color, light, form, in daily practice or spontaneity, via concept and/or perception. The exhibition features a variety of approaches, from materially based work to conceptual works. A Demonstration Ensemble Drawing Workshop by artist Roderick Smith will take place at the opening reception. Curated by Rebecca Shippee, features graduates of ArtCenter College of Design, Boston University, Rhode Island School of Design, Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, University of California Los Angeles, Yale University, and self-taught artists.
