Enos Vineyards

Our Vineyard

Nestled in the western foothills above Dry Creek Valley sits Enos Vineyards. This vineyard possesses a special "sense of place"....terroir.  Roughly 200 feet in elevation off of the Dry Creek Valley floor, the property is situated approximately 17 linear miles from the Sonoma Coast and is exposed to both very warm summer days and cool evenings. The cooling influence is brought about by coastal air that funnels through a dip in the coastal mountain range and lands right on top of the vineyard. This unusual microclimate provides for a very long growing season, and sets the stage for perfect ripening conditions for Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Vines

A small vineyard of around 5 acres, Enos Vineyards is planted in 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. The vines consist of 3 acres planted in 1972, on what is now the relatively rare St. George rootstock, and 2 acres planted in 2001 on 110R.

The old Cabernet Sauvignon vines at Enos Vineyards have an intriguing story to tell, and they do this by producing grapes of incredible depth and complexity. Not to be out-done, and tapping into the same mineral rich soil as the older vines, our younger vines have begun producing grapes of strong character and a fascinating maturity rarely found in younger vines.
