Based on a true story, The 22+ Weddings of Hugo Multiple by Gustavo Ott is a hilarious tale that delves into several hidden themes of our day, from empathy and immigration, to love in times of hatred, and our common need to find a refuge. A refuge that is not only a place but a person and a feeling. The 22+ Weddings of Hugo Multiple won the 2018 Marius Gottin Award for non-Francophone plays/ Écriture Théâtrale Contemporaine Caraïbe.
