The Conejo Valley Youth Orchestra presents their Spring Gala Concert at the Kavli Theater: the culmination of a rich season of music and art. Join CVYO’s musicians as they take our audience on a journey of over 300 years of music history, culminating in CVYO’s Symphony Orchestra performing the Finale of Brahms’ grand Second Symphony, and Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Cappricio Espagnol.” A thrilling suite based on Spanish folk melodies, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov takes the listener on a journey of expressive and virtuosic music through the Alborada dance, the Scena e canto gitano, and the Fandango asturiano dance.
