City of Hope, Orange County’s most advanced cancer research and treatment organization, is honoring cancer survivors across Southern California and beyond through a moving musical celebration in collaboration with Pacific Symphony, South Coast Plaza and Yamaha.
At “Music of Hope,” Pacific Symphony musicians and other gifted pianists and musicians from the community curated by Pacific Symphony, will play 100 hours of celebratory music on a beautiful blue “Hope” grand piano in South Coast Plaza’s Jewel Court.
Poignant images of cancer survivors representing the 18 million cancer survivors in the U.S. will adorn the Jewel Court rotunda. With June being National Cancer Survivor Month, the tribute conveys the power of music to help heal
The installation will be open to the public through June 10 in South Coast Plaza’s Jewel Court. Visitors will able to:
●Listen to complimentary music spanning across all genres played on the blue “Hope” grand piano and other instruments by Pacific Symphony musicians and other gifted pianists and musicians from the community curated by Pacific Symphony.
●View the inspiring photo montage of cancer survivors displayed around the Hope piano and reflect on how music has transformed their navigation and healing process.
