Join Deane Wolcott, MD, for a presentation that will provide a high-level overview of medical aspects of cancer, including cancer epidemiology, risk factors, prevention and screening, symptoms, and diagnosis/staging/prognosis.
This is a virtual program co-hosted by all of the Cancer Support Communities in Southern California. On the day of the program, when joining the Zoom meeting you will be prompted to answer a few questions to help us identify which CSC you're joining from.
Facilitated by Dr. Deane Wollcott. Dr. Wolcott is an emeritus attending, Department of Psychiatry, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He spent the last 26 years of his career leading the development of oncology supportive care services at Cedars-Sinai Samuel Oschin Cancer Center and a total of 19 other outpatient hospital cancer centers throughout the US managed by Salick Health Care/Aptium Oncology. He has held leadership roles in the American Psychosocial Oncology Society, and has for many years been an actively involved supporter of the Cancer Support Community. He is past Co-Chair and current member, Board of Directors, CSC Valley/Ventura/Santa Barbara.
