Aznavoorian Duo, Cello and Piano

Sisters Ani (cello) and Marta (piano) Aznavoorian have been performing in public together since they were children and were first prize winners of the Illinois Bell Young Performers Competition. Winners of the National Foundation for the Arts Award, they were also named Presidential Scholars in the Arts. Ani won first prize in the Concerto Competition at Juilliard and is on the music faculty of the University of Illinois. Marta, a Steinway Artist, has been nominated for a Grammy Award; her many accolades include first prize in the Stravinsky International Competition.
