Join self-taught artist Kathleen LeRoy from Boulder, Colorado for our next guest artist workshop on Saturday, October 19th 1 – 4pm.
During Kathleen’s guest artist workshop, she will share about the ways in which artists must show up for their work to find a deeper truth, and the importance of getting personal in painting. Art is part skill and part insanity! Kathleen will discuss the arc of creating a painting and how to exaggerate to clarify.
Kathleen will also share with us about her life and how it has informed her work; she will discuss materials and process as well as a bit about the business of art. You may find it reassuring to hear that Kathleen has the same fear of starting again as she approaches a blank canvas and prepares for the next show!
The afternoon will close with a contemporary, abstract figurative demo by Kathleen.
