Phoenix City Grille Announces Two Upcoming Pairing Dinner Experiences JULY 25 and JULY 31

This month, Phoenix City Grille presents diners with two incredible pairing experiences that are not to be missed!
First up, vino-lovers can experience a world of wines (and dishes) without leaving town! On Thursday, July 25, the restaurant hosts the Around the World Wine Dinner, featuring an incredible four-course meal matched only by some incredible wines of the world.
The evening begins with a welcome pour of Ramon Bilboa Verdejo (from Spain). Diners will then enjoy the following menu and pairings:
1st Course — Organic Arugula Salad with grilled local peaches, Crow’s Dairy goat cheese, candied almonds, peppadew peppers and blood orange and thyme vinaigrette
Paired with Cline Family Cellars Viognier – North Coast, California
2nd Course — Herb Crusted Pork Loin with bacon chive mashed potatoes, tart cherry and apple mostarda and McClendon Farms purple radish sprouts
Paired with Weingut Frank Zweigelt Herrnbaumgarten – Austria
3rd Course — Coffee-Crusted Beef Tenderloin, sweet corn pudding, Chef Uriel’s mole, pickled asparagus and wild mushroom relish
Paired with Piattelli Trinita Grand Reserve – Mendoza, Argentina
4th Course — Dark Chocolate Hazelnut Gelato, plum compote, biscotti crumble, gooseberry and mint
Paired with Prunotto Dolcetto D’Alba – Italy
Then, on Wednesday, July 31, Phoenix City Grille is raising a glass to Old Forester, one of the most iconic whiskies around, with an exclusive four-course pairing dinner featuring Old Forester bourbon whiskies.
The experience begins with a Barrel-Aged Rye Old Fashioned welcome cocktail featuring Old Forester Bonded Rye, simple syrup and Trinity bitters. The following four-course menu and accompanying pours will then be presented:
1st Course — Grilled Fig Salad with heirloom mixed greens, grilled local figs, candied bacon, toasted walnuts, gorgonzola, black pepper and cognac vinaigrette
Served with Old Forester 1910 – 93 Proof +
2nd Course — House-Smoked Red Trout with celery root puree, haricot vert, pickled apple salad, horseradish and chive creme fraîche
Paired with Old Forester 1924 – 100 Proof +
3rd Course — Herb-Crusted Lamb Lollipops with crispy fingerling potatoes, caramelized fennel bulbs and red wine demi-glace
Complemented by Old Forester Phoenix City Grille’s Private Single Barrel – 127.4 Proof +
4th Course — Lemon Panna Cotta with caramelized pineapple and butterscotch compote, toasted coconut and roasted hazelnuts
Served with Old Forester Single Barrel Rye Barrel Strength – 129.3 Proof +
The cost of each of these pairing dinner experiences is $110 per person, plus tax and gratuity.
