Friends and collaborators for over 50 years their body of work chronicles the Feminist Movement, raising funds for such groups as The Women’s Commission, Planned Parenthood, The Tucson AIDS Project, and The League of Women Voters. As part of the “Community Celebration” honoring Susan Claassen, they were looking through old files and came upon a treasure trove of scenes from many of their shows “Sacrificial Hams”, “Ape to Nuts” “The Big Wait” and “Confessions of a Long Distance Driver”. This “One Night Only” Performance will feature scenes from decades ago that are as relevant today as when originally performed. Their style of comedy has been compared to Elaine May and Mike Nichols and Second City.
The Tucson Weekly said of the duo, “It’s Comedy, it’s improv and it’s contagiously hilarious!” The Arizona Daily Star said, “Claassen and McKasson careen through hilarious improvisation by doing what they do best, taking chances and feeding off each other’s energy.” They have performed at Dooley’s Nightclub, The Invisible Theatre, Fern’s Delectables, Cafe Ole, and Guest Appearances with Ellen Goodman, Lettie Cotton Pogrebin, Pat Harrington and CBS VP Kay Wight of “Advertising Women of New York.” Mols and Suz have toured throughout Arizona, Colorado, and Minnesota. They most recently hosted The Invisible Theatre’s 50th Anniversary Retro-Spectacular.
