Apache Junction Parks and Recreation wants to make your night spook-tacular! We will be hosting our annual Halloween Festival from 4:00pm-8:00pm on Saturday, October 26th. The event will take place at Superstition Shadows Park, 1091 W Southern Ave. Entry into this event is free to the community.
We are bringing back our popular Trunk or Treat, sponsored by Lost Dutchman Realty. Join local businesses as they line up their vehicles and pass out handfuls of candy to all the dressed up Ghouls and Goblins.
New this year will be a live performance by the teenage band Zero Reasons, a pumpkin painting and decorating area, and additional free games and activities, all sponsored by CAAFA!
Non-profits and those supporting non-profits will host game and activity booths, these are ticketed activities. In addition there will be inflatable activities, crafts, food trucks, and new this year-the Pumpkin Patch!
The Annual Costume Contest will begin at 5pm this year.
Enter your dog in our Howl-o-ween Canine Costume Contest! All canines must be on a leash. This contest will begin after the human costume contests are done.
Bring your pre-carved pumpkin out to the park and enter our Pumpkin Carving Contest! Entries will be judged by kids and adults! All pumpkins must be submitted to the judging table by 6:00pm to be eligible to win. Winners will be announced after the conclusion of the Costume Contest prior to the start of the Canine Costume Contest.
