Eller College of Management Welcomes U of A Alumni for Homecoming 2024 “Desert Bound”

It’s that time of year again when University of Arizona Eller College of Management Wildcats from across the country descend upon Tucson for the time-honored tradition that is Homecoming. This year’s event, Desert Bound, promises free, fun, family-friendly activities for all.

Events kick off Sunday, Oct. 13 with the Lighting of “A” Mountain. The annual tradition of lighting Sentinel Peak has been an official staple of the Eller and entire U of A community since 2008. The free event begins at 6 p.m. Viewing locations will be announced at a later date.

Light up the night again with the annual Homecoming Bonfire on Friday, Oct. 18. The evening begins at 7 p.m. with a march from the Bear Down Friday Night Pep Rally at Main Gate to the Old Main Fountain. Join the Pride of Arizona marching band, Wilbur and Wilma T. Wildcat, U of A cheerleaders, Arizona Wildcats, the 2024 Homecoming Court and more for this spirit-filled celebration. The bonfire starts immediately after the crowing of the 2024 Homecoming king and queen. All are welcome at this free event.

Game Day begins on Saturday, Oct. 19 with the Eller College Tailgate. Join Eller alumni for an afternoon of pre-game festivities that begins four hours prior to kickoff. Stop by the Eller tent of the U of A Mall for photo booth snapshots, giveaways and good food. Reminisce and reconnect with friends and former classmates. Tickets for the family-friendly event are $10 per adult and include a catered meal and one drink (alcoholic or nonalcoholic). Admission is free for children ages 3 and younger and for those who wish to attend the tailgate but not partake in the meal. Tickets are available online or at the door.

Finally, the weeklong celebration culminates with the Homecoming football matchup at Arizona Stadium between the Arizona Wildcats and the Colorado Buffaloes on Saturday, Oct. 19.
