Scott Family Amazeum, Bentonville, AR

Museum of Discovery, Little Rock, AR

Opened back in 1927 by renowned Arkansas author Bernie Babcock as the Museum of Natural History and Antiquities, this is the oldest museum in the state. It was renamed the Museum of Discovery in 1998 when it moved to Little Rock’s River Market. From the Tesla Theater to the Tornado Alley Theater, you won’t be disappointed with any of the educational activities that this place has to offer!

Mid-America Science Museum, Hot Springs, AR

With over 100 hands-on exhibits and a purpose of explaining scientific knowledge and concepts to the public, Mid-America Science Museum (MASM) offers plenty of opportunities to grab some education. Come prepared to have your curiosity peaked and your imagination stirred and get ready to leave with a lifelong interest in science!

Ozark Natural Science Center, Huntsville, AR

The mission of the Ozark Natural Science Center (ONSC) is to enhance the understanding, appreciation, and stewardship of the Ozark natural environment. This great spot features educational programs that focus on helping children (and adults!) develop a sense of place and a wonder for the diversity of life and the importance of the natural systems that surround us here in the Ozarks.

Little Rock Zoo, Little Rock, AR

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! You’ll experience real, live education here at the Little Rock Zoo, located in the heart of War Memorial Park. This educational hotspot features over 700 animals on 33 beautiful Arkansas acres. The Little Rock Zoo is the largest family attraction in the Natural State.

Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Bentonville, AR

Founded in 2005 by the Walton Family Foundation, Crystal Bridges is home to an education in the arts. Guided tours of the museum are available for K-12 school groups as well as a distance learning program for high school students. 

Arkansas Alligator Farm and Petting Zoo, Hot Springs, AR

Founded in 1902, this spot is the oldest tourist attraction in Hot Springs and, today it continues to be an educational activity for children of all ages. These days you’ll find more than just the six-inch to 10-foot-long alligators at the Arkansas Alligator Farm and Petting Zoo. Visitors also enjoy the Alligator Farm’s petting zoo and, of course, learning about the well-known baseball history associated with the area.

Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge, Eureka Springs, AR

One of the most important things they do at the Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge is education. From the Education Station to Keeper Talks, Turpentine Creek offers educational opportunities on all things related to big cats.
