Strawberry Jam Festival

At the peak of strawberry season, Over Easy Acres farm strawberry patch in Albertville, Ala., will be bursting with berries and fun during the second annual Strawberry Jam Festival on May 25, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Step out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy an old-fashioned day on the farm, with live music, yard games, food trucks, a vendor market, kiddie train rides, children's activities, and of course, you-pick strawberries. With more than 35,000 strawberry plants ripe for picking, the sweet possibilities are endless. Cost is $25 per family and includes a bucket of strawberries.

Proceeds from this year's event will benefit the Wounded Warriors In Action Foundation, which recognizes and honors America's combat-wounded Purple Heart recipients. Each family that comes to the Strawberry Jam festival will help provide times of respite and recognition to military veterans who have been wounded while serving their country.
