Alabama Mushroom Faire

You wont want to miss this weekend long event of fungi fun! We have two primary goals for the Alabama Mushroom Faire: educate on the amazing world of mushrooms and collect data on the fungi of Alabama. We will have vendors selling products of all kinds, forays led by professionals and enthusiasts, various classes, presentations, and demonstrations, mushroom foods, games, and more!

Gates Open: 9am

10 - 11am: Gasteroid and similar fungi of eastern north america by alan Bessette
11:30 - 12:30pm: seeing the Unseen: Insect galls and fungi by Bill sheehan
1 - 2:00pm: Forgotten Wild Foods of Alabama by Jesse Akozbek
2:30 - 3:30pm: Amanitas of Alabama by Jay Justice
4:00pm: Clean Up and Goodbyes
