The 35th Annual Julie Diener 5k is a 5k run and 1 mile fun run that is held every year to honor the life of Julie Diener. Julie was a Southside High School student and cross country athlete who passed away in 1992 at the age of 18 in a car accident. For several years the Southside High School Wrestling Team has sponsored the race as their main fund raising event. It is an honor to remember Ms. Diener and her dedication to Southside High School and Southside athletics.
5K Registration $25 with free t-shirt if you register by July 31/24.
$10 per participant for High School Cross Country Team Runners if you register by August 1/24. Cross Country may purchase a T-shirt for $10 if you register by July 31/24.
$5 Fun Run add a shirt for $15 if you register by July 31/24.
Shirts are $15 if you wish to purchase a shirt only or add an extra shirt to your order.
You may purchase a t-shirt on race day for $20 while supplies last, a very limited amount will be ordered.
Race day registration begins at 6:45am
Cash check or vemo accepted day of race.

Top 2 overall male and female winners
Top 3 male and female in each age group:
under 12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Fun Run:
Prize for top 2 boys and top 2 girls
5-7, 8-12
Medal for all runners under 12
Pick up race packs or register onsite at 645 day of race. Race begins at 8:00am. Fun run will begin shortly after 5k is over approximately 9:00am.
