The Center Market
About Us:
The Center Market exists to bring Anchorage the best Alaskans have to offer. To that end we are always wanting to bring unique and wonderful food to your dinner table. The Center Market is the result of extended season marketing by Alex Davis of A.D. Farm.
In 2004 A.D. Farm did his first attempt of extended season marketing, after three years as a winter solo act Rempel Family Farm joined in selling past October. The next year Rempel Family Farm once again joined A.D. Farm in extending their season as well as Capriccio Specialties and Country Health Foods. The Spring of 2009 The Center Market was officially born with A.D. Farm and Country Health Foods joining together with Webbs Marketing and Consulting to create the Center Market, the first two summers we were at the University Center Mall on Saturdays.
After two years Webs Marketing turned ownership of The Center Market over to A.D. Farm and Country Heath Foods and The Center Market relocated to The Mall At Sears. We started out having markets on Wednesdays and Saturdays in the parking lot. Fall came and we were able to move inside and we have been inside the mall every Wednesday since.
In 2013 we added Saturdays to our year round capabilities. In 2014 we had approximately 102 markets inside The Mall at Sears. We have continued to grow and expand our vendor base but our core has stayed the same; A.D. Farm, Country Health Foods, Rempel Family Farm, and Capriccio Specialties. Our core has grown greatly since moving inside adding Earthworks Farm 2012, Jonesers, Alaska Vegan And Gluten Free, Drool Central in 2013, Farm 779, La Grassa, Monica's Confection Connection, Sweet Caribou and Alaska Black Cod in 2014 and Mosquito Mama in 2015.
