The Best Skate Shops in Alaska!
Skate culture thrives in local board shops. The independent shops that are owned by riders and serve the skate community as meeting places, event sponsors, and of course, the places to get gear, are among the best. Here are some of our favorite skate shops in Alaska.
Boarderline Legacy, Juneau, AK
Boarderline Legacy is a skate and snow shop that is owned and operated by riders. A reincarnation of the Boarderline shop—which was run by the current owners father for a quarter century until it closed in 2006—Legacy is determined to introduce a new generation of riders to the importance and camaraderie that a core shop brings to a community.
Blue & Gold Boardshop, Anchorage, AK
Blue & Gold is one of the anchors of Anchorage’s skate community. It was founded by an X-Games gold medalist and has a mission to create a community where riders can come together and develop their skills. In addition to maintaining a full inventory of skate and snow gear, Blue & Gold is careful to stock gear that is designed and sized specifically for women in the sport.

Sequence Boardshop, Juneau, AK
Another shop in Alaska’s most thriving skate scene, Sequence Boardshop is located in downtown Juneau, close to the city’s indoor skate park. This full-fledged retail shop has all the decks, trucks, wheels, bearings, and gear that you’ll need and is a popular place for skaters to hang out and come together.
