Providence Generations
The Generations project, so named because of the Providence commitment to care for generations of Alaskans, is the modernization and expansion of Providence Alaska Medical Center. It includes renovation and expansion of the Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and cardiac surgery program, along with a remodel of the surgical services area.

Recognize a Providence nurse with a DAISY award nomination
DAISY is an acronym for Diseases Attacking the Immune System. The DAISY Foundation was established in 2000 by the Barnes Family in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, who died from complications of Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP) at the age of 33.
