10:00 am    
An Older and Interesting Car Parade beginning at Whale Park and continuing down Lake Street to Peterson, Edgecumbe, Cascade Creek, HPR, and turns around at the Halibut Point Recreation Site then return to Peterson and end at SHS. Contact Jeff Budd, (907) 747-4821


10:00 am    
Old Time 4th of July Food & Carnival game booths (for a fee) until 7:00 pm at Totem Square. Contact Sitka Historical Society & Museum, (907) 738-3766

11:00 am
Sitka Elks Lodge #1662 will be serving taco boats, corn dogs, and burgers and fries until 7:00 pm or sold out. Contact Elks, (907) 747-3511

Parade line-up on Lake Street. Float registration required before 6/28. Register online at sitkachamber.com

Line-Up Begins - 1:30 pm
The line up for the parade will begin on Lake Street between the roundabout and KIFW radio station. All floats must meet at the specified area for line-up at 1:30 pm.

Parade Begins - 2:30 pm

Parade Route:
The parade will start at the round-about and proceed to the stoplight turning right onto Lincoln Street and then continuing down past City Hall, turning left on Harbor Drive.

Parade Entry Fee - $25
The $25 registration fee is used to help cover prizes and our time and expenses. Awards for Best of Parade, Best of Theme and Most Enthusiastic will be given following the parade.

Registration deadline is Friday, June 28th at 11:59 pm and all participants will need a representative to attend a 30-minute pre-parade meeting held via Zoom.

12:00 noon    
Barn Dance with live music by Fishing for Cats at the Crescent Harbor net shed. Free to participate and open to all ages. Contact Dorothy, (907) 747-3412

1:00 pm    
4th of July "The Spirit of Alaska" Parade. Float registration required. Parade will start at the round-about and proceed to the stoplight turning right onto Lincoln Street and then continuing down past City Hall, turning left on Harbor Drive. Contact the Sitka Chamber, (907) 747-8604

4:30 pm  
The Sitka Rotary Club's 39th Annual Sitka Duck Race will take place at Granite Creek. Ducks will be released promptly at 4:30 pm. Watch the race and cheer on your duck. Contact John Weitkamp, (818) 207-2993

Sitka Maritime Heritage Society's Annual 4th of July Cruise - a 2 1/2-hour cruise on wildlife
